Peggy Orenstein writes in the New York Times Magazine this week about her quest to stop her insatiable internet information seeking habit. As someone with a similar addiction, I took note of her article with interest. An application called "Freedom" is now available (for Macs) that forces users to take a self-imposed internet time-out of up to eight hours (the only way to bypass it is to reboot the computer).
