Chinese cheerleaders perform at Chaoyang Park beach volleyball venue during the Beijing Grand Slam on the FIVB Swatch World Tour in 2011. Chaoyang Park was also the site for the beach volleyball games during the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Elsewhere in my photography forum wanderings... none of these photos will be retailing for $3.9 million but they offer some silly eye candy: Beautiful asian girls playing football in mud. The originals will have to suffice until Cindy Sherman does her imitation.

Nue York: Self Portraits of a Bare Urban Citizen by Erica Simone

Photographer Erica Simone has been making her way through the streets of New York naked for a self-portrait series that will now be on exhibit at The Dash Gallery.

Some of the photos incorporate suggestive text such as "Park Here" or "Only in America."

Simone has been showing off her derriere and other private possessions in public for this collection- on the subway, at the hot dog stand, in the library stacks, even taking out the trash. Naked!

Okay, so I am not that impressed with the artistic quality of these photos. I will admit they are nice to look at.

RUFF Ring Girl Contest, Preliminary Round (Big Bamboo/Hongqiao, Shanghai)

 RUFF (Ranik Ultimate Fighting Federation), a mixed martial arts organization in China, is holding a contest this spring to see who will be its first ring girl. The first preliminary round took place Friday night at the Big Bamboo bar and restaurant in the Hongqiao neighborhood of Shanghai. More photos from this event can be viewed at City Moments.

"Brawl on the Bund," a white collar boxing event for charity returned to Hyatt on the Bund in Shanghai, Dec. 11, 2010. Seven bouts, including one women's event, were staged to support The Foundation for Newborns with Respiratory Failure and Sports for All (more information can be found here). There was also a benefit auction. These photos show a few highlights from last Saturday.
