I was intrigued by this "Face Blindness" special that I caught yesterday while working out at the gym. It includes interviews with Chuck Close and Oliver Sacks. Face blindness would be a very difficult affliction to suffer.
Not sure what to make of this philosophical/psychological dimensions of this phenomenon, but I will welcome your thoughts in the comment box.
